Today, Produced a solid hickory bench for an amazing couple! This piece will be in their family for generations. Good luck moving it though! It's 15"x18"x72" with a 2"thick solid Hickory seat. This one took right at 7 hrs to produce. I planed down 8/4 Hickory for the seat and the legs. The skirt boards are 1x4 Hickory. Iused Kreg pocket screw jig for all joints except to laminate the seat, and that was done with a double row of #20 biscuits and Gorilla wood glue. All of the wood was supplied by Fine Lumber & Plywood in Austin TX. Because some asked if I ever actually finish my work. 😁 I would love to create your one of a kind impossible to find custom piece. Final photo of my custom Hickory bench seat next to its inspiration table at my clients home in Austin Texas!
